Overview

How it works

Our ULT cold rooms give you freezer-grade temperatures at room scale. Each room is built around a cascade or two-stage refrigeration package sized to your load, so the space recovers fast after door openings and holds its set point through the night.

Panels use high-density PUF insulation with thermal-break joints and heated door frames, so ice doesn't build up at the seals. Controls log every reading and raise alarms by SMS and email, and a standby refrigeration circuit can take over automatically if the duty unit trips.

Key features

Down to −80 °C

Cascade refrigeration holds deep set points at room scale, not cabinet scale.

±1 °C uniformity

Air distribution is designed and mapped so every shelf sees the same temperature.

Duty + standby

Redundant refrigeration circuits with automatic changeover on fault.

Continuous logging

Data logger with audit trail, alarm history and exportable reports.

Heated door frames

Frame heaters and pressure-relief ports stop frosting and door suction.

Energy-optimised

EC fans, electronic expansion valves and smart defrost cut running cost.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a −80 °C room take to pull down?

Pull-down time depends on room volume and the refrigeration package. We size the system to your target and state the expected pull-down time in the proposal.

Can you validate the room for GMP use?

Yes. We provide temperature mapping, calibration certificates and IQ/OQ documentation on request.

What happens if a compressor fails?

Rooms can be built with a standby circuit that starts automatically, and the alarm system notifies your team at the same time.
